1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Japan Hacks Guide ("Service"), operated at japanhacksguide.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Japan Hacks Guide provides AI-powered Japan trip planning tools, travel guides, and related content. The Service includes free and premium (paid) features.

• Free Account: Access to Trip Planner and Day Planner tools.
• Premium Account: Access to AI Planner, plan saving, PDF export, and additional features.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your login credentials secure
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Be responsible for all activity under your account

You may register using email/password or third-party authentication (Google, Apple). By using third-party login, you also agree to their respective terms.

4. Premium Subscription

4.1 Billing

Premium subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) via Stripe or PayPal. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on each billing cycle.

4.2 Pricing

Prices are displayed in USD and may be updated with 30 days' notice. Current pricing is available on our Pricing page.

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Upon cancellation:

• You retain Premium access until the end of your current billing period
• No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
• Your account reverts to a Free account

4.4 Refunds

We offer a full refund within 7 days of your first subscription payment if you are not satisfied. Contact us at support@japanhacksguide.com to request a refund.

5. AI-Generated Content

The AI Planner generates itineraries based on publicly available information and AI models. We do not guarantee:

• Accuracy of prices, opening hours, or availability
• Suitability of recommendations for your specific needs
• Real-time accuracy of transport schedules

AI-generated content is for informational purposes only. Always verify critical details (reservations, transport, entry requirements) through official sources before your trip.

6. Affiliate Links & Third-Party Services

The Service contains affiliate links to third-party services (hotels, tours, transport passes, eSIM providers). We may earn a commission from purchases made through these links at no additional cost to you. We are not responsible for third-party products or services.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the AI Planner
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use automated tools to access the Service excessively
• Reproduce or redistribute generated content commercially without permission

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code on Japan Hacks Guide is owned by us or our licensors. AI-generated itineraries created for your personal use are yours to keep, but the underlying technology and templates remain our property.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to travel disruptions, financial losses, or reliance on AI-generated content.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@japanhacksguide.com.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Tokyo, Japan.
